WDI University Sponsorship

The primary mission of the WDI is to increase the number of women debating in high school and college. The WDI has a proud history of collaborating with the finest college and university debate teams in the nation.  Help us develop the connection between talented young women and your debate team by becoming a WDI University sponsor!

There are 2 ways your team can support the WDI:

1. Create a fellowship through our University Fellows Program.  For $350, your team will sponsor the attendance of a talented debater at the WDI.  Our fellows will receive a small travel stipend, take a leadership role at camp, and be announced through various social media.

2. Become a WDI University Sponsor.  Donate any amount – $50, $100, $1000 – and we will use those funds to finance travel for our students, special events at camp, and travel expenses for our all-volunteer staff of incredible college debaters.

Through your sponsorship, your debate team will:

  • Provide a student with an incredible debate experience
  • Be recognized on our website and Facebook page
  • Sponsor a table of debaters at our opening night dinner
  • Connect with motivated female debaters who want to debate in college
  • Be a part of the WDI community
  • Benefit from the on-going mission of the WDI – to increase the diversity of the debate community, a community we all love and strive to improve!

Your sponsorship will go directly for the meal and lodging costs of your sponsored student only – not to overhead, not to staff, not to fundraising.  The WDI is a 501(c)3 non-profit, and we are proud that 75% of our annual revenue comes from donations by individuals, universities, and foundations.
