Preparation for Airline Travel

1. Prior to leaving for the airport confirm that your flight is on time (you can do this on line or by

phone).

2. If you have access to the internet and a printer you can print out your boarding pass 24 hours

before your flight (do not worry if you cannot).

3. Arrive at the airport at least one and a half hours before your flight is scheduled to leave.

4. Make sure your luggage does not weight more than 50lbs.

5. Have some extra money (about $30) or a credit card because many airlines now charge for

checked luggage.

6. When going through security you will need a photo ID and cannot bring sharp objects

(scissors included) or any liquids over 3 oz.

7. Make your way to your assigned gate and see if you can locate any other girls traveling alone

(chances are they are going to camp).

8. Stay close to the gate so you are sure to board on time.

9. If your flight is delayed and you have a phone, call a camp staff member (numbers are to your

right) to give them warning (do not worry if you are delayed in the air).

10. If you have a connection, travel to the next gate immediately after you get off the flight.

11. When you arrive in Seattle make your way to the baggage claim to get your luggage.

12. Look for women wearing WDI tee-shirts and caring a WDI sign.

13. If you do not see camp staff, give us a call (numbers to the right).

14. Feel free to call us anytime from now until we meet you in Seattle if you have any questions.

We cannot wait to meet you!
